I appreciate this site. For the past couple years, I and a friend have been evangelizing at the Mall, at the Movie Theater, door-to-door, at Festivals, etc. I have also been leaving gospel tracts at gas stations, on store shelves, in public restrooms, etc. I am thinking about the possibility of going on a missions trip, or maybe even (IF the Lord leads and empowers me to do so) as a full-time Missionary. There are obstacles in the way, and that is one reason I appreciate what you have written on this site, because it seems helpful.

Jeff,
That’s awesome. Keep doing the work, and remember, everytime you step out of your house you’re entering a mission field. Your unbeleiving American needs the gospel just as much as a villager in Africa.
Just don’t get the feeling that you aren’t doing something for the Lord as you work in your own country.
Keep it up!
Paul

Thank you for your encouragement, Paul (hmmm…your name is appropriate). I think that the most important work a Christian can do is tell others about Jesus. I do believe that you don’t have to go overseas to be a Missionary, and that, conversely, crossing the ocean doesn’t automatically turn you into an effective Missionary (i.e., if you’re not witnessing to others here in the States, you won’t ‘magically’ change just because you cross the ocean).
