Things have been a little hectic since we’ve been out of the house and living in the trailer. We’ve been bouncing back and forth between living arrangements and we’ve finally landed at a place called Warrior Campgrounds here in Tulsa. It’s been great so far. I was afraid after all the work I did on the trailer that something wouldn’t work, like the electrical or plumbing…but, *sigh*, it all works. Well, except the water heater, haven’t figured out whats wrong with that yet, but I haven’t had much time to look at it. It’s not that pressing now anyway.
I’ve also been doing a lot of open air street preaching here in Tulsa with John Robb. There’s nothing like on-the-job training when it comes to ministry! I’ve learned so many things preaching to the world. I plan on writing about them soon. I see the gospels from a totally different perspective now, and I am eternally (literally) greatful for what John has done for my walk and ministry.
On Dec 29th we’ll be uprooting and moving to Oklahoma City. Joeleen’s father lives there and they have welcomed us to stay with them. I’m looking forward to this next phase. I’m not sure what is in store, but I know it’s going to be an adventure. There is nothing dull when it comes to serving the Lord.
That’s a brief update. I have a lot of things to add to this site when things settle down a little, so keep checking back!

Brother Paul
Keep looking up, you are doing great. nice to know all is okay with you and family. what an adventure, just like Peter, Paul of old out in the world and giving Jesus away to all who need him in the here and now.

Tanya,
My best advice would be to take it slow and in the rest and patience of the Lord. He’s been so gracious with us on our path. He’s been so gentle with building these things in us. It has been a process of almost a year and half.
I think I mention it here http://www.howtobecomeamissionary.com/in-the-beginning/ (how this started with us). But I was also scared to leave my job. It created such a security (albeit false) that I couldn’t see myself ever leaving. But I knew in my heart it wasn’t my destiny. So in the summer of 05 I began to talk to the Lord about quitting my job. My prayer was something to the effect of “Lord, I don’t have any idea how to get out of this job, but I know you don’t want me here forever. Could you please show me the way out.” It wasn’t for another 6 months or so until I actually found the way out (it was all internal, mental and emotional blocks).
So, don’t be discouraged. Just acknowledge the Lord leading your heart and simply open up to the possibilities. He’ll show you what to do and where to go….one step at a time (which is sometimes hard for us!). Just be willing to obey. He wants you more than you want Him, so relax in that :-). He truly has your best interests at heart and will take you from where you are to where He wants you to be and He’ll take your entire lifetime for it to come to pass.
If you haven’t read this, I would suggest simply reading the gospels (http://www.howtobecomeamissionary.com/how-to-study-the-bible/). So many things will begin to open up for you as you do this. Everything will begin to clear as you focus on the simplicity of the gospel and the Kingdom!
Thanks,
Be Blessed!
Paul
